I build tools I wish existed — fast, free, and private. Every tool runs in your browser because I believe your data should stay yours.
Why I Built This
Every week I'd find myself on a different sketchy site just to format a JSON blob, convert a color code, or generate a UUID. Half of them were plastered with ads, the other half sent your input to some server you knew nothing about. I wanted one reliable place that does the basics well, runs entirely in your browser, and doesn't make you jump through hoops to use it.
WebToolsPlanet started as a weekend project and grew from there. Every tool on here is something I personally needed at some point — which means they're built with real use cases in mind, not just to fill a category list.
What is WebToolsPlanet?
WebToolsPlanet is a collection of free, fast online tools built for developers, designers, and anyone who works on the web. Whether you need to format JSON, convert colors, generate UUIDs, or process text — there's a tool for it.
Our Philosophy
- Privacy first. Wherever possible, all processing happens directly in your browser. Your data never touches our servers.
- No signup required. Every tool is immediately usable. No accounts, no emails, no paywalls.
- Fast and focused. Each tool does one thing well, with a clean interface that gets out of your way.
- Always free. Core tools will always be free to use.
How Tools Are Built & Maintained
Every tool on WebToolsPlanet is built by me personally — designed, coded, tested, and regularly updated based on user feedback. Tools that process sensitive data (passwords, API keys, private text) are always client-side only — they never touch a server. Where server-side processing is needed (AI tools, for example), that's clearly disclosed on the tool page.
Content on the site — descriptions, FAQs, blog posts — is written and reviewed by me. No AI-generated filler, no keyword stuffing. You can read more on our Editorial Standards page.
